The Solution

The mvs360 cell sorter enhances research with primary tissues. Specimens as small as 1,000 cells in 5µl can be loaded and sorted with the sensitivity and multi-parameter sort criteria of a flow cytometer. The instrument accepts cartridges that carry all materials including cells and sheath fluids on board, and sorts without generating any aerosols. As a result, the instrument remains dry and does not require any special cleaning between specimens to eliminate carry over or cross-contamination. The instrument contains its own on-board intelligence, including a digital signal processor and floating-point gate array ensuring real-time sort decisions using polygon and digital compensation between fluorescent detection channels.
